bluesuze A picture of my little garden... May 21, 2008 5:53 AM This is the little "island" in my backyard. I've got mostly perennials growing, and nothing is blooming yet (although my peonies are just about to "pop") except for my chives (aren't they cute?) I did plant a rose bush that my son picked out for me for Mother's Day, let's hope the deer leave it alone. All the rest of my flowers will start blooming close to June, so I'll put up another pick when everything is in full bloom and it looks so pretty!
sgdish Tulip Trees (Japanese Magnolia) are Blooming in Tennessee Mar 19, 2008 6:18 AM I just wanted to share with you the tulip tree outside my back door at home. Happy spring, everyone!
bluesuze Is anything coming up yet in anyone's garden? Mar 17, 2008 8:46 AM This has been the longest winter ever! But I took a stroll around my garden and was happy to see my old faithfuls coming up, so I know Spring is here. My chives always come up early, and if you haven't grown chives before, they produce the prettiest purple flowers! I'll have to post a pic when they bloom. I've got some daffodills poking through, too.
sgdish Birds & Squirrels are Feasting in our Backyard Cafe! Mar 9, 2008 6:20 PM Although we had a little snow this weekend, the local wildlife are still getting their fill of birdseed and squirrel food. It's a chore to keep the feeders full, but they sure do appreciate it, and reward you with beautiful color during the gray winter!
sgdish Good-bye fall, Hello winter! Nov 24, 2007 11:45 AM The last of the beautiful tree color is leaving, and we'll be left with the grayness and cold of winter. Here's hoping you keep warm and keep the sunshine bright from within...
